Hi Fritz
Try the following:
1. Create empty arrangement
2. Create a track (A)
3. Create a sub track (B) of track A
3. Create a sub track (C) of track B
4. Delete track B
…Track C indentation is not adjusted and is ‘too far right’
FYI π
Yes, that’s how I intended it to work π
How is Podium to know that you didn’t want it to look like this? Maybe you deleted track B because you wanted to insert/move some other track there. It could be a nuisance if Podium were to try to intelligently reorder the indentation.
Oh, I see!….i just discovered the adjustable track indentation….now thats cool! π
I discovered something else (real problem i think):
1. Create empty arrangement
2. Create a new track (A)
3. Map track A to a vst plug-in (I used Sir, but i dont think it matters).
4. drag, Sir VST parameter onto track A.
5. Drag parameter from track A, downwards to create a new track (B).
6. Drag whole of Track B onto Track A.
7. Podium crashes π
Cheers.

Oooh, that was a good one. I have just fixed it. Fix will be available in 1.02.
That was a quick one :).
Can anyone tell me the concept of having a parameter ‘inside’ a track, as oppose to having it as a child of a track?
I understand the workings of a parameter chiild track, That makes perfect sense.
I assumed having a parameter ‘inside’ a track allowed you to view parameter curves and midi data on the same track, which is cool. But I there doesnt seem to be any way of created new midi data in that track. The curve editor is always displayed.
Also, Im assuming that if you want more than one parameter for a track…child tracks have to be used. Which begs the question…why have a parameter ‘inside’ a track anyway. Why not just stick to child tracks.
Thanks.

Parameter sequences cannot be overlaid onto other audio/note sequences. Tracks with parameters assigned are reserved for curve sequences.

Correct,

If you e.g. have an audio enabled group track, you may want to automate the level as the only parameter, in which case you can assign the level parameter directly on the group track.
But you’re right, it is recommended to stick to using child tracks for parameters.
Knew there would be a logical explaination. thanks
