Topic: Track pan & fader dials……problem

    Frits, in 1.97 I cannot get my track properties to respond to the check box, show pan and gain sliders instead of dials. It does not matter which arrangement view I adjust I can only see pan and gain dials in my track views……….

    The gain/pan options in the track properties dialog does not affect whether it is shown with dials or sliders. You should check the option in the “tracks region properties” dialog. You can open that dialog with the menu button below the last track header.

    Frits, I did. It is checked as.. show pan and gain sliders instead of dials. But, I can only see dials………no matter what is checked it will not change from dials??

    Did you open the tracks region properties dialog from the menu button within the tracks region? If you opened the dialog through the editor profiles dialog in the setup menu, you may be editing a different profile than the one shown in the editor.

    I have done both. But in either case I cannot change from dial to slider.

    Right now I am looking at my track view. I hit the menu button at the bottom of the last track. I select track region properties then i check the box -show pan and gain sliders instead of dials. Nothing happens. It does not matter from where I make this change it does not work.

    Your arrangement properties is then probably configured to use the old “expanded” track layout. The sliders option was added for the new compact mode.

    How do I change that? I am in compact mode.

    Can you give me the sequence to fix? Thanks!

    Open the “arrangement properties” dialog from the editor view menu. Is the track layout mode set to compact?

    yep, just found it. I wonder why that changed when I loaded 1.97?
