Topic: Unwanted bank / program change from imported midi file…

    hi

    I created a sf2 sliced breakbeat with assoc midi file (in BeatCreator 3).

    I have set CC 0 = 2, program change = 0 in midi track in Podium – this selects the correct sf2 bank in my Emu APS.

    But when I import the midi file onto the track, to play back the slices correctly – I get the first drum note, then it resets back to “Grand Piano” GM sound for the remainder of the sequence.

    What am I doing wrong ?

    Make sure you don’t have a preset assigned to the track (or any other track using the same mapping). This will conflict if you also have program change messages on the track.
