Yes, absolutely! You can even copy instruments from one track to another by drag-and-drop. No matter how many times you load the same instrument or effect, they’ll all work independently.
The only situation in which this works a little different is with plug-in device definitions that are somehow interconnected (i.e. side-chaining compressors or multitimbral instruments). You don’t have to worry about it if you don’t use any of those.
Message to Frits, if he’s reading this: I think it’d be nice if you could drop plug-ins/presets/in-/outputs even on minimized tracks (again?). Currently, there needs to be at least 1 px of the chain panel visible to be able to do this.
