sam cParticipanti have never used Amplitube. i usually mic an amp or use a POD. So, should this be a buss track, or?
the cpu hit is fairly high so i want to get amplitube recorded on a track and be able to remove the plug.
thanks

ZynewaveKeymasterI would suggest adding Amplitube as a normal insert track, and then add a bounce track above it. Bouncing the amplitube track then frees the CPU resources used by the plugin, and it’s fast to deactivate the bounce track to make changes to the original track and then redo the bounce.

sam cParticipantFrits, when i try to bounce i keep getting this message—-Amplitube has performed an illegal operation. the plug turns red in the track inspector and i have to delete the track. the bounce never happens.
i tested with PowerCore TC Thirty and the bounce was fine.
any ideas?
thanks!

ZynewaveKeymasterHmm, this is probably the same issue as reported here:
http://www.zynewave.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1406I have not received a reply from IK Multimedia yet.

It was Aug 02. The email form said to expect a couple of weeks delay before getting a reply.

sam cParticipantin the interim, is there another option that might work?

You could try to do a realtime bounce recording of the amplitube track, and then remove the plugin from the track afterwards.

sam cParticipantFrits, a quick glance at the guide and i did not see an explanation of live bounce. i looked at recording/bounce recording.
where should i look for an explanation? have not done a live bounce in many years! 😉

ZynewaveKeymasterEnable both the B and R buttons on the bounce track. Enable record mode and start playback.

sam cParticipantFrits, the live bounce works. But, it is odd becasue when you remove the B feature on the bounce track, if Amplitube has not been deleted first, it gives the error message again and disables Amplitube. Touchy, huh?
