..whats the point really, not alot of linux vsts out there, and not much payback for the time and effort put in, there seem to be some really nice free programs out there for linux already . Looking at energyxt2 I’m not sure how well the port went in terms of customer satisfaction and new adopters, takes a lot of work and research to develop for linux. A much smarter move would be to develop for mac since mac users have a bit of cash to spend to begin with but there again how big is the payoff isn’t windows still the 10-1 favorite?
windows and osx are bloated. gates and jobs have enough of my money. i’d rather give my money to fritz. i don’t need vst’s. i like podium. 🙂
i’m an energy xt expat, so i’ll be getting another license when i go linux. just dreaming of podium linux, that’s all. though i completely empathize with Fritz on this matter.

been about 4 years now 😉 As far as I can tell, during those 4 years Linux has not gained marketshare from Windows, and I don’t see any signs for that to change in the near future. So unfortunately the answer I give today is the same same as I gave 4 years ago.
oh i know 🙂 sorry if it sounded like i was being an impatient twat.
i recently had some interest in going linux. i did a search on the forums, and this was the first thread i came across.
my post was simply meant to be a– ‘hey i still have interest, and i’m willing to purchase another license for a linux version.’
keep up the good work man.
xp home. won’t go to vista. would love to move to linux so i can have a killer linear sequencer to use with renoise 😀

I’m planning a “snap” feature update soon. This will include options to snap to the edit cursor or start/end of other events on the tracks.
beautiful.

At the moment I’m using Podium to do the dialog track for my latest short, or to clean up that track. I can do the work so much faster in Podium than ProTools, but I’m having a little problem.
Used to Avid’s way of snap cursor to cut and snap cut to cursor by pressing CTRL I haven’t found that in Podium which makes moving cuts from one track to another a bit tricky. I can’t use the usual snap because then I’ll get out of sync in no time. Is there already a way of doing this, snapping to the inividual cuts/audio files or to the cursor or will there be?
I really would like to be able to do the whole audio part for movies in Podium. Can’t be beaten!
i’m interested in this as well! i’d love to see what other podium peeps are doing with scoring…..
how are you tracking video?

If you want to keep your old posts associated with your user profile, you can alternatively rename your old “meloday” account to “22tape” in your user profile. Let me know if you prefer this, and I can delete your new 22tape account.
pm’d 🙂
