I just tried all the mapping settings and everything. I opened a new track and assigned a VST instrument to it by double clicking. My MIDI in was listed above this, so that seems correct, but I cannot hear any sound even with the monitoring on. It keeps on telling me that I need a parent audio output mapping or something. So, I look for my audio output mappings and they are listed in with my VST instruments ? Is that right?
Anyway, I double clicked the audio output map and it replaced the VST instrument. No sound at all, but the red warning has disappeared. I can see how the hierarchic engine might work, but am mystified as to why it is not producing any sound. Podium is receiving MIDI messages from my controller and looks like it should work, but there seems to be a problem with the audio output.
