How are your external devices connected to your soundcard? I’m asking because your “V-verb analog” mapping is configured to output on channel 1+2, which is the same channels that your master “Multichannel 1 PHASE X24 FW+2 PHASE X24 FW” is mapped to. That is why you are hearing the output to the V-verb mixed into your main mix output.

Oh, man thanks! That is one hell of a setup-blunder on my part. Gonna change it when i get home from work and will report back! Thanks again!

I just tested on my setup, and delay compensation of external hardware effects are working fine for me. I did not use Nebula3 in my master chain, but the SIR reverb, which adds ~200 ms latency.

Please send me your project file, so I can examine how you have set up your external reverb devices.

Have you verified that your soundcard mixer does not mix in the reverb return into the main mix?

I’ll send you the project file now.

This is a bug imho. So when you use external devices in your mix, you can’t use plugins (not just Nebula, all plugins with latency don’t get compensated for) on the mastertrack, because the delay-compensation doesn’t work.

    Is this a known problem?

I think it has something to do with the combination with external hardware devices on some of the tracks. I have two busses with two send-reverbs running from my Behringer V-verb. Maybe the delay compensation for external units gets messed up.

    I’m only guessing here.

Edit: i think that’s it. I put two plugin reverbs on my busses and now everything is in sync. I has something to do with the external devices. Without Nebula everything is in sync though.

Anyway to have this as a feature so that when I’m recording long sequences I can see the notes as I’m playing instead of the majority being off screen?

Look under “view” and then “follow play cursor”.

Did you choose “activate bounce playback” in the end?

If you have the reverb set up as an insert effect (instead of on a bus return) then you can do a realtime bounce record with wet set to 100%. After that, copy the bounced sound to a new track, and bypass the effect on the original track. You can then adjust the gain on the two tracks to do the mix.

Thanks, just what the doctor ordered! 🙂

Another recent feature that hasn’t made it into the guide yet.

Enable “realtime recording” option in the “track/bounce/bounce mode” submenu. Next “activate realtime record” in the bounce menu. Next enable record mode on the transport toolbar. Start playback. After recording is finished, then “activate bounce playback”.

Thanks! I’ll try it when i get home from work.

The project wizard was removed a long time ago, and replaced with the simpler project start page. Where did you find the info about the wizard?

In the tutorial about external hardware devices on the “About” page.

What is the best way to configure an external hardware device-setting in the new version?

Frits’ original idea of the zGrid made me think of T2/3’s racks. Ever since he sat that idea on the shelf I have wondered how he will implement some of the other routing schemes.

Racks are T’s main strength. Also the possibility to make Rack-presets is a phenomenal feature. Would like to have something similar in Podium. I have just begun to use Podium, and i like it more every day. Although Tracktion will always be the love of my life  . Too bad Mackie seems to have abandoned it.
