i am recording the exact same tune into Reaper and Podium. same instruments, path, etc. when I put Reapers Master out to 0 and Podium to 0 there is a significantly louder volume from Reaper. it does not make sense but it is significantly louder in the other software and everything is exactly the same that i can see.

the difference is too obvious to be my imagination.

Frits, when a track is muted is it shut down from the engine? not vst just an audio track.

Press Q/W or Numpad 7/8 to move the play cursor to the previous or next marker event, or to the previous or next edge of the segment selection, punch or loop ranges, whichever comes first. Press Alt+J/K/L to set the segment, punch and loop ranges to the two marker events surrounding the play cursor position. These ranges can also be set with the marker event context menu

from the Podium Guide on the wiki.

the mouse scroll is very cool. i still like the option of a pop up menu though.

no, i mean on the actual audio portion of the track where it will say, for ex: Guitar 1 because I have named teh track Guitar 1. i want to keep a label on the track header and mixer header but not on the wav display. i am looking for the less cluttered look by getting those names off of the track

Frits, any plans for this sort of automation? If your engine shuts a mute track down this is very handy to have implemented! Saves mucho CPU power.

i did the bounce to the master track and it was simple. but….i could see the .wav but no sound played. there was a red circle on the mixer saying there was no master. what step did i miss?

i will play around awhile. i am sure i am just struggling with something fairly simple.

on my master track in the default arrangement there is no sound event. only on the tracks i have recorded?

If that’s what you are trying to do wrap the ezdrummer tracks into a group track. Bounce enable the track and then bounce the track. You now have a single stereo file for the multi ezdrummer tracks. Keep in mind that when you bounce a group track it is capturing everything in the group.

should i wrap my 17 tracks to a group track?

Are you trying to bounce the multi ez-drummer tracks to a single stereo?

no. not at all. i am almost ready to take 17 tracks and bounce them to a stereo track.

The principle and procedure of bouncing a plugin track and bouncing the master output is exactly the same. You can insert bounce tracks anywhere in the hiearchy. For the final mixdown

it really is not clear in the video. look how i explained a bounce in two other programs. i’ll do it again…………

select each track you want to bounce (17 in this case). arm a stereo track. hit enter. you now have a new stereo mix of the 17 selected tracks that includes fx and automation.

o.k. i watched. but it is very confusing. plus, this is for 7 or 8 ez drummer tracks.

the way i understand is so simple, select each track you want to bounce. arm a stereo track to bounce to. hit enter. now i have a new stereo bounce of the 14 track tune i am working on that includes fx and all automation.

the video is well done but does not at all address showing a 14 or 22 track tune being mixed down to a stereo track. or….did i watch the wrong video?

your Podium guide says, bounce to master out. is it a problem if i simply bounce a mix to a stereo track…as opposed to master out.

    here is the quote

If your arrangement is using audio, then you would likely configure the master out track for bouncing. This will enable you to capture the final output of your arrangement into a sound file.
