Are you using punch in/out when recording MIDI? If not, could you try activating punch in and set the punch in position to bar 1, and let me know if this changes things.
Try showing the ‘latency’ row in the mixer. What is the latency value (samples) shown for the track with your MIDI input?
it records fine if the notes are short but it messes up when I use long notes (around 1 bar long, etc).. this happens everywhere, also when I put the punch-in on bar 1
latency is 440
I’ll stay tuned 8)
in case you read my post when I was still messing with it..
..it seems to skip the first note in automatic track creation when the note falls on the beginning of a bar
oops.. almost forgot to answer this question..
it skips the first note if recorded before or on bar 2,
with or without automatic track creation
and to add to that… it seems to skip the first note in automatic track creation when the note falls on the beginning of a bar

If you create the note sequence on the track manually with the pencil tool before recording, does the first note go missing then?
I believe I tried both yesterday and it did the same in both cases.. but I’ll try again when I get home
I’ll keep you posted
actually.. I cried victory too early
the damn recording problem came back 🙁
the first note goed missing again ?!??!?
but I have just noticed it only does it if there’s less that 3 bars leading up to the recording, so when I start recording at bar 3 it records the first note fine.. when I start recording at bar 2 it doesn’t record the first note
Did two things here..
Installed 1.27 .. and got an voltage adapter for my midi controller so that I didn’t have to connect it using the usb cable
one of the two or both seemed to have done the trick, recording is working like a charm now.. WOOHOOOO!!!!!
I’m very excited about this sequencer. I got really frustrated with Sonar lately and I’ve got a feeling Podium will become my main sequencer really soon 😉
you’ve got the workflow and gui spot on in my opinion and I’m looking forward to future developements
