ahh ok well i figure i will just avoid plugins that crash for now anyway and keep it enabled since i like having the power avaiable, maybe their developers just aren’t ready for multiprocessing yet!
hmm funny timing, didn’t know about this post but i demoed hydratone only yesterday and found it crashed too, no error message, just a continuing clicking sound… like when the audio gets caught in a split second loop of i guess whatever is buffered, i don’t know. But anyhow did it for me by enabling/disabling it with the ‘x’ icon… i get the same thing (albeit less frequently) with voxengo curve eq too, which also seems a bit sensitive to rearringing things in the chain above/below it…. i just decided to avoid them in the end since other plugs work fine… i too am pentium 4 with hyper threading… oh i almost forget, 2 instances of ugo string theory don’t get on very well either…
does hyperthreading offer that much of an advantage or would I be best off disabling it for the time being? if i disable multiprocessing in podium without disabling hyperthreading of the actual processor, would that be only utilising half of my cpu?
ahh thanks man that looks nice… *downloooooad*
ahhh that sounds marvellous 🙂 , using free voxengo scope atm but it tends to get in the way a bit.
to be more specific the particular synths i am using (sts-24, laserblade – maybe other synthedit synths i dunno?) seem to only allow changing preset via the host. i assume banks contain a bunch of presets consolidated so it should expand to show a bunch of presets when i select the bank.
ahh i see, does this then mean my list of presets now refers to different presets (although same names) after selecting the bank?
just a guess but i’d imagine that is explorer/firefox/whatever internet browser you use crashing rather than podium itself…
oopsy i’ll bear that in mind. I always just thought it was paranoia before.
oh my email adresss is xis23 at hotmail dot youknowwhat.
yeah I am indeed on a p4. go for it, I’d be happy to help 🙂
oh i made it happen again but it turns out the track doesn’t have a subtrack lol so maybe that is why?
hey just to let you know i found a tiny bug with zpeq. It only happened once when i changed the tempo, but the cpu got stuck at 100% and i had to x then un-x the plugin and it was fine again.
It’s kickin ass for me too!! My favorite thing about podium is how uncluttered it is.. like there is depth there but it doesn’t get in the way. Cubase was far too bloated and niggily wheras podium feels clean, light and fresh everytime i use it: a clean canvas for me to make a mess on from scratch 😆
Oh I suppose I can see how it might be a hinderance actually. I think the future might be for me to bounce my individual tracks and do a seperate arrangment for the final mix anyway because I use so many devices and one-shot sequences that it makes sense too.

Do you import the midi as an arrangement or by dragging it onto tracks?
Both, if I am using beatsliced files then I drag the midi from a folder window straight onto podium and then into the track. Other times I import midi files I have exported from guitar pro as arrangements and then drag/drop the bit that I need.
This would enable a new menu that allows you to make a local copy in the current arrangement, leaving the original intact. Maybe this would help in your situation
Yep that is exactly what I need, it would help me keep things organised a lot easier 🙂 .
Oops when I said copy and paste I actually meant drag and drop. Yeah ctrl+drop for uniques would be great.
