Does your other host program allow you to select the presets? I ask because some plugins implement their own native preset browser, which is not exposed through the VST interface to the host.
Hi Malcolm,
Try using the ‘update programs list’ in the track context menu. Podium creates the preset objects during the plugin import, so it’s possible that the Spectrasonics plugins haven’t loaded their programs from disk at that time.

Hi,
Can anyone enlighten me as to the short comings of podium and what I would have to look forword to as a future user?
As for the shortcomings, take a look at the ‘future development’ topic in the future forum. It lists some of the things yet to be implemented.
How is VSTi support?
There is full support for VST/VSTi.
Does the audio engine have any tonality issues?
If by tonality you mean if the engine colors the sound, then no.
Is there any looping and time streching support?
Basic looping/loop recording is supported. Time stretching is not.

Any chance of a downloadable version of the guide?
I’m releasing Podium 1.51 later today, which will have the updated guide included. The release features some changes to mainly the curve editor.
The entire Sequences section has been rewritten. The arranging section is the only one still incomplete. Comments are welcome.
I can’t provoke a crash either with the ‘unload plugins…’ option.
What are your PC specs? Do you use hyperthreading/multiprocessing?
First , i want to report a bug
-i have 4 tracks (ch 1/2,3/4,5/6,7/8 of multichannel vsampler 3.5) grouped under a master track in podium, in a new clean project. When i draw a 4 bar wave with the pencil into the master track and i hit ctrl+b podium crashes.
i use podium 1.47 demo
I don’t have VSampler, but I substituted it for another multi-out instrument, as you suggested. I could not make it crash. Have you recreated the crash with other instruments than VSampler? When the crash occurs, are there any dialogs appearing? Does the bounce render progress dialog appear before the crash?
I’ve added ‘Change target/source labels in device mapping properties dialog according to selected device type.’ to the list.
You’re right, there seems to be missing some inputs. From the report you emailed me, there should be 22 enabled input channels, but your screenshot with the input mappings only show 4 stereo/8 mono inputs. Maybe you created the input mappings at a time where you did not have all 22 input channels enabled?
Try creating a new project and use the quick setup command in the wizard. Does this produce more input mappings?
Hi Francois,
When i select another source , like Aux , or line , it does not record anything
Do you mean you select another input object in Podium, or are you talking about buttons on the interface?
Could you please post/email an interface report. You create that on the report page in the MIDI/Audio Interfaces setup dialog.

I haven’t forgotten about this. It just got sidetracked by some more important stuff.
Added ‘Draggable inspector panels so more than one panel can be open.’ to the list.
Added ‘Advanced quantize edit dialog with percentage settings etc.’ to the list.
i mean the list that opens in the right of the screen, you know, the file browser, where you can hit enter and play files from hdd (view menu->new list window, ctrl+L, or the List button near the help button)
You can’t change the audition volume in the lists. They are played straight through to the soundcard output.
