    • The mixer can now show RMS meters with K-System scales. The arrangement properties dialog has two new settings that control the RMS meter behaviour: “RMS meter scale” has options for K-12, K-14 or K-20. “RMS meter window” defines the response of the RMS meters.
    • Each track can be configured to show peak and/or RMS meter. Clicking the meter on any mixer strip will toggle RMS on/off. The meter options can also be set with the new “Meter” submenu, or with the “Peak meter” and “RMS meter” options in the track properties dialog.
    • Setting up pre/post faders and meters is now easily done with the new “Fader” and “Meter” submenus in the track menu. It is possible to set the fader and meter to any effect in the chain. The submenus also has commands for enabling gain, pan, peak meter and RMS meter options.
    • The mixer has a new optional grid control shown at the bottom of each strip. Each row of blocks in a grid represents an effect in the track effect chain. The first column of blocks represents fader position and the second column represents meter position. Highlighted blocks indicates where the fader and meter is currently positioned. Bus sends are drawn as framed blocks instead of filled blocks. Placing the mouse over a grid will show a popup with detailed information. Clicking the grid will toggle the meter between pre and post effect chain. Shift-clicking a block in the grid will set the fader or meter to the corresponding effect track.
    • Peak hold values are shown below meters in the mixer. Clicking the peak hold value box will reset the value. Double-clicking any peak hold value box will reset the value for all mixer strips.
    • Added “use small font”, “show pan fader instead of pan dial”, “show send dial on separate line” and “show hierarchy/signal flow arrows” options to the mixer region properties.
    • Added “Bypass” and “Editor” options to the column of mixer control buttons. Deselecting either of these will hide the buttons from the track headers and instead indicate bypass and editor state with a colored frame drawn around the device controls.
    • Added mouse action settings to the mixer region properties dialog. Actions can be specified for click, shift+click, ctrl+click, alt+click, middle-click, right-click and double-click.
    • Changed the design of the mixer headers. The track name is now written at the top of the strip and not on the header.
    • Updated the mixer popup-help texts.
    • Added “automatic solo” track option. Tracks that have this option enabled will be soloed automatically when solo is activated on other tracks. The mode can be toggled by Shift+Alt+Clicking solo buttons or by pressing Shift+Alt+S. When creating a new arrangement the bus return group track will be set to automatic solo mode.
    • Added “Solo”, “Automatic Solo”, “Mute”, “Record” and “Bounce” options to the properties submenu of the track context menu.
    • Inserting effects on a track now defaults to being pre-fader instead of post-fader.
    • The automatic assignment of audio input and instrument plugin mappings on the first two tracks is now optional in the “new arrangement” dialog.
    • MIDI System Exclusive files (.syx) can be dragged onto tracks.
    • Fix: Creating subfolders in the project template folder would mess up the Project menu.

    Thanks,
    this is very nice.
The pre/post fader feature saves me a lot of work, disabling
gain and pan on a track and enable it at the last effect,
which I had to do a lot on a couple of mixes I’m working on
    right now.
So thumbs up, very nice, keep up the good work.

While working with Podium I noticed a small GUI error. There are empty menu items in the view menu of both (windowed and embedded) sequence editors. Selecting one of the items results in an empty window.

PS: The workflow of Podium 2.04 is really great now!

Please check the “Editor Profiles…” dialog from the setup menu. I suspect the list of profiles includes some empty/blank editor profiles. If you think it is a bug in Podium, please email the Podium.ini file.

You are right. Deleted them and the empty menu items are gone.

Found a little GUI bug. There is something wrong with the peak indicator of the master track in the mixer when resizing the mixer region.

    Thanks.

I think the best way to fix this overlap is to hide the peak hold indicators when the strips are sized below a certain height. Agreed?

    Yes, sure.
