Thanks for the changes in 2.17.

Sadly, I am going through a difficult period with Podium at this point. Not much time to focus on any new features as RMX appears to be bringing Podium down with alarming regularity.

It’s the screen shifting left followed by a crash that is limiting my time with Podium ATM in a big way 🙁

I am currently shuffling emails between myself and Spectrasonics who I must say even though they may know little of Podium are being very thorough about trying to find a solution. I am impressed.

I assume you do not have a copy of RMX and as there is no demo, there is no way for you to check this yourself… I will update you (probably in another thread) if a solution becomes available.

The problem shows up if I hold a parameter for more than 5 seconds which I think at some point you said will bring up Windows Not responding message or something along those lines.

Even minimizing Podiums GUI (So that the standard border appears) does very little to avoid the shift followed by a crash. I had this same problem with a few other plugins so it’s not just RMX. Older plugs can be tricky but RMX really should not be.

I also noticed that the Ableton Live *splash screen* (not the app) will shift left when it loads up but it is *barely* visible.
The screen shift in Podium however, is easily visible. Maybe because both apps replace Windows borders they share the same problem.

In any case, I have never seen any plugins cause Live to shift it’s GUI to the left of the screen.

This looks like a problem with Apps that replace Windows borders with their own and maybe much more so RMX and other plugs coded the same way graphically as RMX. Just guessing.

There is a wider issue with other hosts as well with RMX…something is clearly not right. Thankfully Spectrasonics are looking into it. If there was a RMX demo I am sure you would be able to look into it in more detail as well. :-k

By the way I am using a Nvidia GTX 275 896MB GDDR3 so it cannot be an underpowered rig on my part. That card should be far beyond any possible Audio and Midi host or plugin graphics requirements (putting it mildly) and for some time into the future as well. 😐
