I just downloaded a copy of podium free on my laptop PC. I don’t have an interface to plug in my music all I have is my instrument. I tried to use the Microsoft interface but I found that it had latency issues. So I wanted to know if ASIO interface could be reconfigured to run through the mini microphone jack?

Have you tried asio4all? http://www.asio4all.com/ It should work with your on-board sound.
What kind of instrument are you trying to plug in?

Im playing a regular new style electronic guitar run though a 24 bit effects mod digitec also use a podXP podXPto be exact. I have no midi cord or interface component.it works through Microsoft synth audio but the latency is un real i cant multi track like that. I know ASIO latency is much better.

Do you mean the Line6 pod xt? I can’t find any reference to pod xp. According to it’s manual, the xt has a usb connector for digital i/o, in which case you wouldn’t have to go through the mic input. Besides, I don’t think it’s proper to use a mic input for recording through the xt – the manual says a line-level input is required.
