    Hi Podiumites!

I recorded a guitar track and it was fine. The next blank “Take” track is registering the signal via the meter, but nothing is recording. All “record” buttons are on, but I’m stuck. Any help? Thanks much!

I’ve never really had that problem. When I record guitar I’ll assign audio to the first track, arm it to record, press record and play on the transport. If I have loop set up Podium creates a second “take” when the audio playback restarts. I set up a second track, remove the audio input from the first track and assign it to the second track to record another part. Hope this helps you out. If not I’m sure someone will join in that can get into more of the technical stuff.

Thnks Griff fro your response! To anyone who can adviz: I have the audio inputs set on auto-assign to focus track, which seems to unassign the first track when I select a “Take” track. Since the meter is moving there must be a signal getting to Podium …

I’m a little confused, are you selecting a “take” track from the track you just recorded? If I record on track 1 I get multiple takes for that track. Do you have another track, track 2, created and auto assigning the input to that track? I was able to recreate the problem by assigning audio to a “take” track from the same track I just recorded on instead of creating a second track. That’s about all I can offer to help.

Yeah, wz trying to record on a “take”. So I just record on the original track, and drag n drop the “takes” to other “holding” locations when I want to record on the origianl track. Thanks much Griff!

I can confirm this. Multi-take recording doesn’t work with auto-assigned inputs; it’s probably a bug. I suggest manually assigning your input to the composite track (the parent group track of your “take” tracks) until it gets fixed.

Thanks for reporting this. This is fixed in the upcoming 3.2.3 release. The auto-assigned audio input will be assigned to the composite group track if any tracks within the composite group has focus.
