This may be a question for the “future” forum, but I thought I’d put this here in case I’m missing something…

In all the others DAWs I use, audio seems to be “auto-converted” to the project’s sample rate when they are imported. That is, if my project is 48khz and the temp is 120bpm, and I import a 44.1khz, 120bpm audio clip, it gets auto-converted to where it fits perfectly on the bar or measure boundaries.

In Podium, however, when I import a 44.1 clip into a 48 project, the clip ends up being too short, in which case I have to convert it via a third-party app before importing it into Podium…

Oh, and by the way, I HAVE to use 48khz projects, because my card will only operate using ASIO drivers at that sampling rate.

    Thanks!

import of mp3 would be great too…

This is one of the next things I’m going to work on. I’ve occasionally referred to it on the forum as SRC (sample rate conversion). Currently Podium does not behave as you’d expect if you use sounds with a different samplerate than the arrangement.

As usual, thanks for the quick reply…much appreciated, as always.

I would also echo the earlier comment regarding MP3’s. That would come in mighty handy (although since using uncompressed audio is always preferred to using compressed formats in a project, it’s not a priority in my mind at least).

    Thanks!
