Topic: Bouncing to audio

    I have Zynewave Podium Free on Windows 8 32 bit. I have a project that is about 120 tracks and 4 minutes long and I want to bounce it to audio, however, when I try to bounce a track (any track) Podium crashes after the progress bar reaches about halfway to full. Has anyone had this problem and figured it out? I’ve tried making a new arrangement, but the same problem came up.

    Could be a faulty plugin or at least a plugin that Podium does not like.
    When playing the arrangement, does it crash?

    I’d try to see what track or plugin might determine the crash, by rendering let’s say the first 10 tracks, then the next 20, etc.

    You need to eliminate the causes and than, eventually, you’ll know what is and so you’ll be able either to fix it or to replace for a more friendly plugin.

    Or could be something else completely, I don’t know!

    EDIT: I just noticed that you said “any track”. Then maybe some automation or a plugin on the master channel might cause it.

    Interesting,

    An experiment which maybe a bit of a pain to set up given the number of tracks you have, however, if you bypass all instruments and effects except for those on one track that you are bouncing, does the crash still occur?

    I disabled everything but the track I was bouncing and it still crashed. I’m going to try and make another arrangement again or maybe copy the project and see if it does anything. I’ll let you know how it goes.

    I wonder, with that many tracks, if your RAM is all used up? What if you split the project into separate projects with 20 or 30 tracks each and see if that works?

    Okay, the problem must have been the number of tracks because it works now. I’m bouncing about 10 tracks at a time. Thanks for the help!
