Please see the hirachy below. I want to bounce track 3 off (it is a bounce track, having a “B” icon infront), but when i try to render the bounce track i get the message “There are no bounce track sound events that can be rendered.” when in fact there is. If i play the song, there is audio playing. There is also no red exclamation point anywhere in the structure.

    1) Master
    2) Effect
    3) Bounce Track
    4) Effect
    5) Effect
    6) VST-Instrument

You first have to draw a sound event on the bounce track using the pencil tool.

OK, i just figured that out and i can render the track – but its empty like it didn’t received any audio and it renders for less than 1 second. I must do some really basic mistake!?

If you have punch-in/out enabled, the bounce will be limited to that range.

Podium crashed earlier, since then I try to bounce a track off but can’t make it work – it’s always empty. However, if I double click on existing audio tracks, an empty window appears saying “There are no compatible profiles for this editor. This could be caused by a currupt setup file. To restore the Podium setup to defaults, select ‘load defaultsetp’ in the project page setup menu [and so on].”
So I did and needed to scan the VST folder on my harddisk again and it makes Podium crash every time, and I have to start again from scratch next time I start Podium. Have to check it again tomorrow which causes trouble.

Thanks for this info! I’ll double check it tomorrow.

You should not have to rescan the VST folder if you load the default setup. You may have to reselect your VST plugin folder in the preferences dialog, but after that your existing project should load ok.

If you have any Image-Line plugins then they may be causing the crash on scan. I have a fix for that coming up in the next release.

I have Image Line Plugins installed, but they work, no problems whatsoever.

However, here is a picture of the bounce problem:

As you can see i created a Bounce track. if i click the right mousebutton and select “Render bounce track”, it’s empty. What do I do wrong?

It seems you do not have activated monitoring.. 🙂 your plugins are not loaded then.. If so, choose the bounce track and press Ctrl+B

If I press CTRL+B the bounce track is active, but then “Render Bounce Track” is disabled, and I can’t bounce it off at all. (EDIT: Isn’t the purpose of activating the bounce track it’s muting all tracks underneath and listening to a rendered/bounced track?).

    See the image below:

How can I simply bounce the track off? I can hear audio and you can see the audio tracks underneath the bounce track.

Hm.. I do not see any mappings on your tracks.. And why do you route the audio track to the midi track above?

All the mappings are gone for the moment, I will bring them back later. @Podianer wrote:

I’m using a Vocoder, which uses an audio track and a midi track. However, with all the mappings gone for the moment, there is only the Audio track left playing by itself and I can hear it. Buy yet I still can’t bounce it off.

Yes they work fine, but Podium crashes when it scans the Image Line plugins during import.

You just need to disable the bounce track (press B) and then the render command is available again.

    Yes.

there is lonly the Audio track left playing by itself and I can hear it. Buy yet I still can’t bounce it off.

I can take a closer look if you email me the project file.

Got the project. It appears that the offline render fails because your master mapping is set to start on channel 5, instead of 1. I’ll fix this bug for the next release.

You should be able to get the render to work if you temporarily swap the master mapping with the one that starts at channel 1.

Thanks Zynewave! No doubt about this problem is caused by a newbie. I tried all sorts of things and its rather surprising Podium only crashed once one me 🙂

Uhm, sorry again, but could you guide me please of how to do this step-by-step?
