I’ll start off with a screenshot this time 😆

Basically I was trying to carefully place some files the other day in Podium and I needed them to fall exactly into a particular place on the time line (the files were imported) . It would have been far easier if Podium had a feature like the one in the screenshot. The “changes position of the object” text can be done away with but the info after it is extremely useful IMO.

It gives you the start position of the file when you touch it and will update as you move it. It will show whatever setting you have for the arrange view …bars/ beats, seconds/minutes e.t.c The information box / tooltip will disappear once you move the cursor from the clip. So it does not get in the way.

A time saver for very small adjustments. Podium clearly has this information but showing this also on a clip as in Samplitude above, makes a big difference when editing audio files and moving them around an arrangement.

Yes. 😉 The small tooltip reading in the image will automatically update as the clip is moved so it is similar to the fades and crossfades in Podium that very nicely give real time value readings for fade adjustments.
