    Hello there,

I’m an harcore user of Sony’s Acid Pro 5, but it doesn’t mean I don’t check out other DAW or Sequencers. I’ve tryied Live 4, great but IMO too electronic-music oriented. And its interface is nice but not convinient at all. I’ve worked with Cubase SX too, great sounding, but not logical at all. Too many commands to make simple things happen also. I’ve tryied Sonar, well, I can’t say anything on this one because I didn’t go any deeper than customizing my shortcuts, and trying a 8 track recording song. It didn’t seem very easy for audio editing and song arrangement thought. I tryied SawStudio for 15 minutes and uninstalled it right away, and its price is unbelivable. I tryied Pro Tools LEfor about three weeks, and it seemed quite solid, but midi implementation isn’t that great yet (btw, your software’s layout seems a bit like pro tools, i love that).

So I came here after trying out the demo, the first word that came to my mouth was : beautiful. Then : solid. and after passing a 2 hour learning curve : clever !

The price is very low (maybe too low at my taste but I won’t complain on this point ^^). The only thing missing is a marketing and a communication plan, but I’m sure it’ll come with the time.

How many guys are working on this software ? (pure curiosity – imo the less, the better).

I love the way Acid handles the zoom tool and draw/cut tools, very accurate. And I love also its grid. You know where your samples are, and you can build a rythm line in 5 minutes. I love also the drag and drop explorer window, and the way you can dock this explorer window, the plugin manager, the track properties, and the fx/instrument panel (Ps : I’m not using acid for loops).

Do you guy(s) know Acid ? You should learn a little from it (from its workflow especially, not from its stability ^^).

So in conclusion : This software has all the chances of beeing a great masterpiece, and maybe a new standard. That’s my bet.

Keep on the good job !

PS: I can devellop my suggestions, but I’m not a develloper, just a music producer. I just fell in love with this software and want to put all my musician heart on it like many others to suggest these little functions that are very useful ^^.

    Hi Zacchino,

Thanks for your comments. Much appreciated.

Yours truly is the only person involved in this company. You can read a bit more on the contact page.

I agree the price is way too low, compared to the amount of work (15 years and counting) that I have invested in it. But the price is set to match the alternative solutions that are on the market today. I have not put much effort into marketing. I’m currently working on completing the Podium Guide, after which I will do more advertising.

I just saw the contact page (didn’t know it would have some history on the company – I’m so used to the “About” tab ^^).

So this is a pure product of Danmark ! That a quality stamp. North Europ has alway been creative in the application domain.

Do you plan translations of this program and its guide ? Maybe that’s a point where I can help out when I have the time (French – serious and accurate translation of course).

Anyway, if help not needed (and I know how sometime help can be frustrating – especially if this genious baby is 15 years old), I’ll keep on feeding back for suggestions in the right topic.

    Cheers

Localization of Podium is on the plan, but I think it is some months away. Gotta write the English manual before even thinking about translations. But if you’re still around at that time, I may be interested in your help.

    Looking forward to it. 🙂
