    I came across a YouTube video that does a good job of explaining why audio drop-outs can occur even when the CPU usage is nowhere near 100%:

    The video shows the usage of an application that measures real-time performance. I’ve tested a tool called LatencyMon on my Windows 7 and Windows 10 systems, and it worked without problems:
