    Hi Chaps,

Apologies if this has been answered before:
I have been getting a lot of crackle (very similar to CPU crackle) but at about 30% CPU usage.

    System is:
    Windows 7
    Lian Li PC-P80B | GIGABYTE X58A-UD7 rev 2.0
    Intel Core i7 950 3.06GHz @ 4.20GHz | 6GB Triple DDR3 Corsair
    Prolimatech Megahalems Rev.B | 2xAkasa AK-FN059 Push/Pull
2xAkasa AK-FN059 custom placement | 2x Antec SpotCool System Cooler
Gainward GeForce GTX 470 | Lian Li Air Intake Cooling Kit
    Lian Li 140mm BS-07B | Corsair AX1200

Not sure where to start, so has anyone got tips for what I should be looking for, to fix this?

    Best regards

    Abor

    What audio-interface are you using?

    A ha, thanks Melodyman!
I’m just using sound card of the motherboard.
Happy to splash out on one if that is the issue.

What do people use that is good, I don’t really care about input (midi or audio), only really after the output.

I see the EMU 0404 on a search for “audiocard” is that still considered ok?

Most people go with an external interface

    USB or Firewire.

Firewire IS slightly faster than USB(2.0) but USB is much more widespread. So more interfaces to choose from and every computer including Macs would use ’em.

I’m wanting to see U3 interfaces.

Are you using ASIO4ALL? If you just want simple stereo in/out, you should be able to do okay with the built-in soundcard, provided that you use the http://www.asio4all.com driver.

Thanks! That seems to have done the trick.

All the best to you and all members.
