    i should be able to click the mouse anywhere in the timeline and move the cursor……instead of only at the very top of the timeline!

    so if i start at the top of the timeline and grab the cursor i can move the cursor with the mouse. any chance to get the cursor to follow the mouse from any place in the track window?

    Clicking with the mouse on an empty spot of the tracks timeline area will start a marquee selection. The mouse is reserved for this and various other actions depending on the selected tool.

    what about below the timeline on the active or inactive tracks. or, there is a reason to only be able to grab it from the top of the timeline?

    small differences but i am curious.

    Clicking there starts a marquee event selection.
