An error occurred in the forum database a few days ago. One of the tables in the MySQL database was marked as “crashed”. My host provider recently performed an emergency shutdown of the servers due to an overheating issue, which probably was the cause for the database crash. The crashed table resulted in errors when you tried to use the search form or tried editing posts etc.

My host provider has now finally fixed the problem. As a result of the malfunction, the last few days posts has not been included in the search tables, and the number of total posts written on the index page shows 10984 where in fact it should read 10991. But other than that, the forum should be working fine now. Please reply if you experience problems.

We had a similar problem with our business web site. It turns out there is a problem with the version of mysql that was being run that has some issues with counters when there is a hard failure. There is an update to mysql that rectifies this problem. We are in the process of updating.
