    Frits,

I have EWQLSO loaded in Podium with two automation tracks underneath,,
    Modulation and Channel Pressure,,

When I loaded Podium and pressed play it would “Play” about 6 bars – freeze for 10 seconds – jump 8 bars and then stop.

To keep a long story short in finding the problem,,,

When I save my project with Modulation automation track focused (highlighted) and reload the project I get the ‘freeze’ audio problem.

When I save the project with EWQLSO track focused (highlighted) and
reload the project it plays as normal.

I can repeat this so ‘something’ is going on.

    regards,

I doubt that the problem is related to the focus track in the saved project. If you load the project saved with focus on the automation track, and then click focus to the EWQLSO track before play, does playback still freeze?

    testing round 2:

Save/Load Podium project with Modulation track focused:

    1) Change to focus EWQLSO before playing >>>> freeeze

Save/Load Podium project with EWQLSO track focused

    2) Change to focus Modulation before playing >>> fine.

i will try out with another Vsti.

    I found the problem ,,

Changing the Vsti with different Automation made no difference ,, still would freeze under the same circumstances.

I had some 5 automation tracks running with Posihfopit EQ plug which must have been weirding out and Podium was still trying to tick along,,, deleted a couple of them and all is fine now. Though it is intreresting that change of Track Focus on a Vsti Automation would expose / hide the problem.

So it was the Posihfopit EQ that overloaded the CPU, due to heavy automation?

No, I would not blame the plug that way, the weird thing is the changing of “track Focus’ from the Vsti automation tracks,, would expose ot hide the issue.. The EQ plug would work fine . I put it down as one of those things and that is only a problem if it happens again in a unrelated incident. .
