I was thinking today that it would be nice to be able to access the plugin list from one project when working in another project’s arrangement. This would be useful for a couple of different things.

The first case I can think of is that you can load up a project for tracking, with all instruments and effects available. Then, when it’s time for mixing and you don’t need the instruments any more, you can switch to the plugin list from another project that only includes, say, effects. Then you could do the same for mastering, showing only the plugins you need for that stage.

So you could have tracking, mixing, and mastering projects. Then have the ability in the inspector to access the plugin list from another project.

Does this make sense? Would this be useful? Or is there a better way?

This can be achieved by using project templates:

You create the different device setups that you use in different circumstances, and then save each to a project template. Then you use the “load device setup” submenu in the project templates menu to switch between the different device setups.

Ohh, good point! Why did I never notice this before? Sorry for the silly request then! I’ve used Podium quite a bit, and never ever noticed this. Thanks for the tip Fritz!
