    Hi!

As I’m obviously to lazy to RTFM 🙄 …

How can I drag the playing cursor (the green one that follows the song)
around in order to quickly navigate in my song during playback?

Click with middle mouse button anywhere in the timeline regions.

Click and drag the top triangle of the edit/play cursor.

If you want a larger single-click area for dragging the cursor, you can modify the timeline ruler region:

Open the “editor profile properties” from the view menu. Open properties for the “timeline ruler – cursor” region. Disable the “left-click to slide timeline” option.

Thanks, Frits, I figured that one out already…

Although this is some help, I wondered whether I can “scrub” through
my songs during playback and not just move around the starting point,
so that I don’t have to stop, move the cursor and hit “play” again.

Like fast forward and rewind by dragging the play cursor.

You can’t “scrub” in the sense that you will hear what you drag over, but if you enable the “link edit cursor to play cursor” option in the view menu, then playback will jump to where you release the dragged edit cursor.

Ah! Yep, that does it 🙂 !

Thanks. I really appreciate your quick and helpful replies. They really
help me to get over those absolute beginner problems.
