    Hi Frits,

What is the best way to set up Podium for mastering? I am so used to the standard use of Podium I never really looked at how one would master in Podium.

I could set up a separate arrangement for Mastering but Podium does not appear to have a way to bounce a track down to 16 bits (if the project is set to 32 bits) with a chain of FX that would likely have a dither plug in that chain.

A separate project yes, but not a separate arrangement within that project already set to 32bits. Or can you use different bit depths for arrangements in the same project?

The only way I can see to export Audio in Podium is to Save Sound as. The description for that simply says “saves the sound with a new name”.

Does this feature operate in the same way as Export audio in other hosts?

I am really looking for a full export of my arrangement or Master track with all the FX and a dithering plug bounced down to 16 bits. How would you do this in Podium?

    Thanks.

The bit resolution you specify in preferences is just the default resolution for new sounds. You can specify different bit format and resolution for each sound. Create a master arrangement and open the properties for the sound on the master bounce track. Set it to 16 bit. Insert a dithering plugin as the topmost effect in the master chain (do not adjust gain after the dithering plugin).

    Excellent I’ll try that, thanks!
