Hi all – I have a suggestion, to take or leave. Make midi and envelope clips expandible and compressible, like in EnergyXT.

PS Thanks for the unexpected upgrade there, Frits. Also, the alt-click on ghost event feature is such a great unique feature, a real workflow helper.

    Spooky 😮

Earlier today I was experimenting with exactly what you suggest. I.e. stretching of note and curve sequence events. First step towards full time-stretch support.

Man that’s weird. How long had you been considering it?

I saw comments about the missing time-stretch support in a Podium Free discussion on another forum, and gave it some thought. I found that I relatively easy could add the stretching to note and curve sequences. That would be the first step. Second step would be resampling of stretched sound events (resulting in pitch shifted sound). Third step would be full time-stretching.

Wow. I would’ve been happy just to see midi/envelope clip adjustment, but it looks like you’re going all the way! One more reason why you rock, Frits.

Frits, if you start to implement midi timestretch remember please that it’s important time stretch clips [to fit loops, as example] and group of events [to fix bad timming recorded events, as example].

What I cannot think it’s in a shortcut key to timestretch :S maybe Alt before start dragging clips with the bottom dots, but don’t know with events without those dots. Or right shift key, maybe.

I got it, it could be Ctrl after initial click
