    Hi!

I’m giving Podium a try as a new DAW, but I’m having an essential problem: I’m afraid it doesn’t recognize any VST plugins. I installed/copied them in a special folder, set this folder to have Podium scanning there for plugins but: nothing happens.

When I click on the + sign on a track to add an effect, I only have the standard Zynewave effects available:

    Just Zynewave standards

Or is there another way to add VST effects to a track I’m just too stupid to discover?

    Thanks for help! =)

Hmpf. Alright, this is the answer:

Rebuild the Plugin Database in the Project Setup Page.

    Continuing talking to myself …

This seems only half a solution; Podium does not want to recognize all VST plugins, for example these mda ones:

Is there a special reason for this behavior?

Sorry to interrupt 🙂 but which mda plugins aren’t being recognized? I had no real probs with them. Remember some of them are instruments which are assigned to a track via the “Source” dropdown/menu, and some are effects, assigned via + button as you know.

I’m beginning to believe that the problem is: you can’t use “old” 32 bit plugins on Podium x64.

When I use an x64 plugin, it is recognized when rebuiling the plugin database.

And to answer the question: all mda plugins (fx) are not recognized. I wonder how you use it. Are you on a 32 bit system?

Dude you need a 32bit to 64bit converter. All 64bit DAWS do. The one that everyone seems to use is called j bridge. Gotta get it myself 🙂

    Ah, ok, didn’t know that.

As far as I can see jBridge is not free. What’s the point of using free 32 bit plugins when one needs a paid converter for then afterwards? I’m better off watching out for 64 bit plugin alternatives.

    Hi,
in these cases, my advice is to use the 32-bit version.
    We talked about it here:
