Hello, I am new to DAWs andmusic production really in general, and having no money to get anything than what i already have (Computer with a reasonable sound card and a MIDI controller keyboard) I’m using Podium Free.
I was attempting to record a simple drumline on a Midi track, but even though all my tracks are armed, when I record, nothing shows up. Its as if I was recording but not playing anything at all.
Any help that can be offered would be greatly appreciated.
Let’s try to get to the bottom of this. I assume you have your MIDI keyboard set up already and are hearing the drum sounds when you play it?
If that works, the only thing left to do is record-enabling your track (with the “R” button on the track header) as well as enabling recording mode (the button with the big filled circle on the transport bar). If you did both, the track lane background should be colored red and you’re good to go as soon as you press play!

Thankyou for your very fast reply! Unfortunatly, I had already done oll of that, and was hearing the proper audio and the whole nine yards, but even though the track turned red, it was as if nothing was being played, though i could hear it very clearly. I’m going to try re-installing the program, and see if that solves the problem.

Hmm, I don’t recall any previous cases in which it just wouldn’t record even though everything was set up correctly, so to start, a screenshot of your record armed track might give some clues… :-k
