Here’s a simple drum pattern, beat-sliced to 1/8 segments (1). I then apply some swing to it, thereby creating overlaps (2). This likely isn’t a problem in this case, but surely can become one with different sound material or MIDI events.
Of course other operations done with the Adjust Timing dialog can result in overlaps, too.
Maybe someone could show me the proper way to do this? Because I would rather not have to resize the events by hand…
If there isn’t any, I’d suggest some “auto-trim” options for the dialog.
