I’m still pretty much a newbie with Podium, but I think it means when changing something (midi or audio), both the original and the phantom copy change.
    Might be wrong though πŸ™‚

is a phantom copy anything different then just a copy?

when i right click on media, copy, then paste to a new track, is that a phantom copy? this is what i am not sure about, the terminology.

When you copy/paste it is a phantom copy like when you Alt-Drag an event (arrow cursor). There is a + added to the event’s name.
You can turn a phantom copy into a real copy with the option “Clone Phantom sequence”.

When you Ctrl-Drag an event the data are duplicated (plus cursor), for an audio event it creates a new wave file. There is a number added to the events’ name.

I know it because I always need real copies of enveloppes but phantom copies of sounds and I often make the mistake with the shortcuts !
