Topic: Podium and Stylus RMX

    I am thinking of switching hosts, and Podium seems to be the leading candidate. Does it support Stylus RMX well? That would put it over the top for me.

    Hi ravasb,

    I have never had the chance to try Stylus RMX, so I don’t know how well it works with Podium. Perhaps another Podium user could post about his experience with the Stylus RMX?

    I have just started to use RMX in Podium and so far so good.

    One issue with RMX though…the drag and drop feature in RMX http://www.spectrasonics.net/instruments/rmxfeatures/archives/2004/10/03/feature-10/does not work in Podium, at least not in the 1.29 demo. I just got the full version of Podium so I will report back to see if drag and drop works.

    I would do all my drum mixing in RMX anyway, it has a full mixer with sends and truly sensational FX so I guess if that is also your way of using it then there are no issues that I can find.

    But if you must use the drag and drop feature you might have to drag the mid file to your desktop or something and use Podiums file browser to drag it back to the Stylus track, all this can be done in real time in Podium (one of the best things about Podium just like Live4).

    I’ll let you know how I get on with the full version of Podium, now that I have no need for the demo and have bought version 1.31.

    Feedback as promised…
    No problems using Stylus at all. Only issue is that I cannot drag a midi file from RMX to a track in Podium. Apart from that it seems to work 100%

    That is correct. It will be possible as soon as I implement dragging of files from Windows explorer onto tracks in Podium.
