Topic: Podium song – My Beautiful Longing

    Hey, I finished a short intro piece I’m calling “My Beautiful Longing”. This is my first Podium piece. I know it needs some tweaking yet, but I’d love to hear feedback.

    A few quick notes: this is composed using the Pythagorean type 1 scale (17-tone). It’s my first microtonal piece. For now I’ve decided to use Podium mainly for microtonal pieces — it’ll give me a project to work on as I continue to learn the software.

    Very nice! I was a bit ‘afraid’ reading about 17-tone scale – till now, almost everything using non-12-tone scales sounded very ‘academic’ to me, but this one sounds very natural. Thanks.
