Same here. In the piano roll there’s two things I do most: add a note and delete a note, so for me workflow wise it makes most sense if you can do that with one click.
The cool thing about being able to customize it all is that everyone can please himself.
Maybe allow setups to be saved as editor presets of sorts?

I think that right mouse button is now obsolete. You can do the 99% of operations with pencil tool and keyboard shortcuts [Ctrl/Alt/Shift combinations]. You could do a customization of right mouse button also 🙂 (I’d use it for delete notes)
Personally I think Podium is way too keyboard shortcut centric. But if it provides more choice for users…thats fine. I would still use the right click menu instead. But that is just my workflow…I have little or no use for keyboard shortcuts unless I have no choice in Podium.
Things like trying to disable solo or mute for multiple tracks…there should be no need for a shortcut for that. Been that way for ages. 😐
– A simplified way for work with drums (adding/deleting/moving drums row in the same drum editor)
I wanted to bring this up earlier but thought Frits was only focusing on the PR. Of course the PR and the drum grid crossover in more ways than one so I would be very happy to see an overhaul of the drum grid. It certainly needs it…
1. Kit creation without unwanted notes. When you create a drum kit Preset you still have unwanted notes in the drum grid that is created.
2. Mute and solo buttons for each lane.
Like this…
What we have now is a very spartan looking drum grid view which is in sharp contrast to the new PR and the drum grid image above as an example…
You can clearly see in the image above, unwanted notes still show up in the drum grid.
3. Flams
A simple way to create flams or rolls, maybe a double click on a note creates a user pre configured flam value or amount.

Added note event “Alt+Click” and “Alt+Double-click” customizable edit actions. Available edit actions include: drag velocity, drag size, drag size proportionally (for multiple note selections) and delete events.
That’s very much appreciated, thanx. 🙂
quantization button panel: Could we have a snap-button there, please?
That way, we could have the choice of taking the snap+and select box off the top menu, if we wanted to work with the quickbuttons alone.
Hey Conquistator, about unwanted notes, you can delete them leaving 6-7 (or any number) rows if you want in the devices library. I think that it needs be more easy althought without use the devices library.
EDIT: Look at this picture

Hi LiquidProj3ct. Correct you are. 8) However I know this already and even wrote a drum map guide some time ago (2006) that includes steps on how to do this as well. 8)
My point (you picked up on this as well) is that it really should be much easier than having to go to the List view e.t.c to sort it out. There should be no need for that. 😐 Even if you can save your set up as a track template it is very tedious, would very likely befuddle any new user and really should be changed.
That was the point I was making. But thanks for taking the time to offer help and post that image. 😉
