Nevermind, Darcy. I’ve already duplicated it here with Beta 1836. I get no error but Podium does a CTD. What are the disadvantages of unchecking the ‘Unload plugin’ option?

It doesn’t free up cpu/memory. However I can work around this by unchecking it before doing the offline bounce. Disabling the bounce, rechecking the “unload plugin” then reactivating the bounce. Since this doesn’t re-record the bounce I don’t have the lockup. It’s a few extra steps but gets the job done.

I have made a modification to the way that the ‘unload plugins…’ option is handled during an offline bounce render. This appears to have fixed the crash problem with JamStix. With a bit of luck, it will also cure the similar problem that was reported with Halion. Fix will appear in release 1.62 within a day or two.

Sounds great!! I am a volunteer for beta testing!! 😆

I own 3 versions of Halion. Tell me If I can help you sorting this out!

I think I’ve uncovered another little problem with how this works.

    Here is the situation.

Starting point is Jamstix unloaded due to it being bounced.

I disable the bounce to deep edit Jamstix.

I make some changes within Jamstix perform an offline bounce and unload Jamstix.

If I do this again, the changes I just made to Jamstix are gone.

I’m not sure if I save the project prior to bouncing the track if it would help.

Nice find! This is a bug in Podium, and is not related to Jamstix. Plugin presets are not updated with the plugin current settings before the plugin is unloaded with the ‘unload plugin…’ track option. Will be fixed in release 1.66.

You can force the preset update by saving the project, or by toggling monitoring off/on, prior to the bounce.
