    I’ve been trying to use my hardware synths (Virus Rack XL, Novation KS-Rack) with Sonar via MidiQuest XL. I hoped to use MidiQuest XL in Sonar 3 to save all my hardware synth information.

    BUT…the RME midi drivers are not multi-client and will not work with midiyoke as far as I’m aware.

    Hence, my interest in Zynewave. Is it possible to:

    1. Open hardware synths in Zynewave and use them along with softsynths using the RME midi drivers?

    2. Control hardware parameters in Zynewave?

    Will there be templates for EMU, Access and Novation synths in the near future?

    I use a HDSP Multiface with my external hardware, so yes it is possible. Watch the ‘external hardware’ video to see how its done.

    2. Control hardware parameters in Zynewave?

    Through automation on tracks, yes. There are no remote editor surfaces like the more dedicated synth editors provide.

    Will there be templates for EMU, Access and Novation synths in the near future?

    Very likely. Not currently. I intend to implement support for import of Cubase Script files and possibly Cakewalk instrument definition files. I cannot make any promises to when this will be ready.
