    Hi Frits,

Do you have any suggestions for setting up a MIDI device (specifically a drum machine) that has no Local Off feature, so that events on a track with the device mapped as both input and output are recorded and played back, but not monitored/looped back? Thanks very much.

Have you cleared the ‘send input thru to output interface’ option in the device mapping?

That will work great, thank you. I don’t actually have said drum machine, but was able to test the function on the Nord with the local set to on. It had always been greyed out on my device mappings because, since I use the Nord as a controller as well, I have the input port set to none. That way I can make a mapping for a “global midi” input that I can use to send back through to the Nord or out to the JV, VSTi’s, etc… depending on the track output map.

Unless there is a better way to do it?

In any case, I now own a Boss DR-770. Well, I will when it gets here. 🙂

No, that’s pretty much exactly what the ‘send input thru to output interface’ option was for 8)

I can see that the device mapping description in the guide was made using an older version which does not have this option. For the last couple of weeks I have been working on the guide again and will update this at some point.
