Topic: Setup Question – Newbie

    I am trying to use Podium free for a simple application. I would like to take a USB Midi input and route it back out to a different Midi Output to drive a separate sound source. I know my hardware is all working because I can do this in Sonar. I’m just trying to come up with a cheap solution to use the USB Midi output of my Casio PX-130 to drive another sound source. I have a little tablet PC i can use. Crazy I need to do all of this but that’s the way it is.

    Just want to be sure I can do this before wasting time. Any help with the setup would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Hmm, I think this shouln’t be a problem. Just assign your MIDI input and MIDI output to the same track (using the input and source buttons on the track header or mixer strip).

    Please write back if this works for you, or if you need more advice!

    You should be aware that this setup will create additional latency, though, depending on your audio driver settings…
