    A short update from me:

    I’ve spent the last few days setting up and testing the shop pages. I would like to know what you think of the shop setup.

    You may also notice the new ‘Presentation’ page, that is under construction. I promised there would be videos a couple of weeks back, but it got sidelined because I got busy with the equally important programming stuff. There is a short test video on the page. If you got the time, try it out and let me know if you have problems playing it on your PC.

    The next week will be dedicated to programming again 8)

    The video worked fine here.. took a while to get on a dialup, but worked well!

    nice quick over view… will future ones have flash cards, or any popups to highlight what is being done? I used to do that when using Lotus ScreenCam, I would program hotkeys with popups telling the user what ctrl keys,double clicks etc were needed. Just a thought!

    Yes, there will be pop-up text notes describing the actions in the video.

    After examining most of the screen recorder applications on the market, I ended up purchasing ViewletCam by Qarbon for 100US$. It has just the feature set that I need and a very clean interface. I have found several bugs in it, but it was a lot cheaper than the >300$ alternatives.

    I’m starting to get a grip on this video production thing. The first video (parameter automation) is uploaded on the Presentation page.

    I intend to make the other videos in the same style and approx. at the same length. Before I get too far with the other videos, I would appreciate any input you have on this first video. Should each video be shorter/longer? Is the pace in the video too slow/fast? Should there be more text notes?

    Any suggestions for tasks/workflow that you would like to see in a video?

    Pretty much makes sense to me…

    I like the ‘subtitles’ – very clear.

    The ‘Recording’ video is uploaded. This is the last video in this round. At a later time I may create more videos depending on user requests. I think I have most of the bases covered with these 5 videos.

    The 1.00 release is pushed a couple of days, and so is the preorder offer. Don’t forget to take advantage of the preorder offer if you intend to join the ride!
