    Hi,

    I’ve recently switched to Windows 7 64-bit, using Podium 3.0.1 x64.

Now I’m having some trouble importing Yellowtools’ Freedom (64bit). I’ve made sure that it’s 64-bit, I tried to re-import it (as a single VST and from a folder), I’ve reinstalled the Plug-In and Podium but no luck.

Yellowtools’ Origami works like a charm…

    Any ideas?

What error message do you get when you try to import it?

    I simply get

    “Could not open plugin ‘Freedom.dll’.

BTW: Same problem with 32-Bit Podium.

That message should indicate that Podium could not detect the dll as a VST plugin (of the same x86/x64 archictecture as the Podium version you’re running). If you have jBridge installed, you could try to wrap it in that.

OK… installed the jbridge demo with the following results:

Podium crashes when I’m doing the normal “import from folder” scan, message from jbridge:

    mainProc(HostCallback) error (…)

When I try to not load any plugins and only try to import Freedom
I get the same result as before (“Could not open…”)

Hmm, seems like Freedom and Podium are incompatible then. Anyone else had experience with YT Freedom?

OK, seems like that… Just tried it out on my old computer (XP 32bit) and
Podium also doesn’t recognize freedom… I must have forgotten that it never
    worked 😕

    Anyway: Thanks, Frits!
(I know there are better ways to spend a Sunday evening 😉 )

Unbelievable (at least for a non-programmer)!

    FIY:
I’ve just started a new surround (only) project and there it is:
Freedom in its fill glory and fully functional.

Yep: fate wants me to do surround projects 🙂

Edit: Some synced delay effects cause trouble, though (“Plugin performed an illegal action…”). Nevermind.
