I was messing with an open source DAW called Chaotic recently, but no worry I’m still with Podium. It had some neat features I dont see elsewhere, one of which Podium could do well with –
A simple transport panel (maybe just play and stop) per highlighted clip. Go into clip edit mode, whether at the bottom or in a separate window. Hit play and trigger just that clip, and it plays that clip in solo mode, autolooped. Any other loops could be bypassed when using this. It would be great for MIDI editing!
And, cough, I’ll dig up an old previously posted request of mine: save zoom state per track.
These couldn’t be too hard to implement, no? But I’m a non-programmer, I know…it just seems easy.
    That’s my two cents…

That would be a nifty feature, 4mica.

For the moment, you can quickly set the loop to events/patterns by selecting it and pressing ALT+L. I find this keyboard shortcut indispensable. Hit S on the keyboard to solo the selected track.
