    Hi guys!

I have a little bit of a problem here… It’s been quite a nuisance for a while, but tried to avoid it. But now I cannot anymore, so I need your help.

As a MIDI keyboard I use my old faithful Korg Pa50 arranger. When in sound mode (that is just the regular synth-mode controller) no problems, I can play the notes, use the pitch bend, modulation, all good. But when in arranger mode (meaning I can use the auto-accompaniment) whenever I press Start/Stop button to start/stop the accompaniment, the playback/stop is triggered in Podium too.

    This is not a feature, it’s a bug! 😉

I mean, I do not want this behavior. I tried different options under preferences>play/record to no success. Podium does not see my Korg as a controller surface, nothing to change there.

The only solution I found is… uncheck the MIDI interface button. But that obviously eliminates the keyboard controller all-together. So, no solution at all. I am connected through my M-Audio AP 2496 interface.

Ideas? It’s clearly a MIDI message that Podium does not filter out and I really need it to do it. And yes, it’s the same in Podium Free and Podium Demo 3.2.2.

    Thanks

Is there perhaps some option in the keyboard MIDI setup menus where you can disable transmission of MMC or system real-time messages?

    Hi Frits,

I tried filtering out sys-ex messages from going to the MIDI OUT of the keyboard, but either that filter either does not work, or this is not a sys-ex message.
I do not have many other filters I could apply.

I asked thinking that this is a Podium thing, as this does not happen in any other host I tried.
It’s not terrible bothering, as I don’t use it in that mode often, but it’s something I don’t understand.

    Thanks for replying.

Well, whatever the problem was… is not there anymore.
    Not in Podium 3.2.3 demo.

But it is still present in Podium Free. the same project, same settings.

Something must have been changed along the way, even though I could have sworn it happened the other day in Podium Demo too. I might be wrong though…

So, it’s working ok in version 3.2.3. it seems, no unwanted start/stop.
