    Hello,

I am automating the tuning VST parameter of a sampler with a range of -1200 ct (down one octave) to +1200ct (up one octave). If I want to tune up half an octave (600), it is easy to figure out I have to input 25% to cover half the 2400ct range. However, if I have to tune up one note (100ct), I have to input 4.166 (100 / 2400).

If I tune by ear to find I require a random number like 389, I have to multiply this by 0.0416666 and input the value 16.21%. With the parameter range set from -1200 to 1200, Podium will display 389.

Could we be able to input the required point value like 389?

I’ve found it’s possible to input the value into the sampler’s plugin interface while recording the parameter track. So I can set a loop a bit before a MIDI note and it is not at perfect points in time, but can get the value assigned that way.

Yes I encounter the same issue with automating the pitch of the stock zPitch plugin – and use the same solution! Fortunately, quantizing the recorded automation points is really nice and easy.

Good point, though I record without a metronome
