Does Podium support this new Windows driver-model? It’s been there since Vista and i’m aware that Reaper and Sonar support it, but does Podium as well?

Not yet. It’s on my todo list.

Ha, well i chose “Windows/MME-drivers” and the sound start clicking, popping and slowing down like crazy. So i guessed there must be something wrong. 😛

FYI — I’ve been playing around a bit with the latest edition of REAPER (4.13), and I just wanted to say that it supports WASAPI.

So, of course, I had to go fool around with it; I had to try it. Right next to its selection on the list it clearly says “(experimental)” and that should have been my warning.

Well, I did try it and it locked up and froze REAPER so bad I had to do a hard reboot just to get REAPER off the screen. THEN, naturally, it’s stuck with WASAPI listed as driver in the Prefs., so I can’t open/start Reaper at all — freezes as soon as it loads it. I had to fix it by going into AppData. The only other alternative would have been a full scan uninstall and then clean reinstall (too time consuming).

Okay, so it’s all fixed now but I’ll never click on WASAPI ever again. I’m just posting this as food for thought for ideas of going after this in a future Podium release. I sure won’t be trying it in Podium unless I hear ONLY gushing, wonderful reviews!
