Not sure if this qualifies as a small UI enhancement or not so I thought it best to start a new thread for it.

Samplitude allows a user to adjust an audio clip with a volume envelope just like Podium. But where it differs is that it will change the waveform graphically in the same way Podium already does when the clips Volume control is changed.

The FR is not for clip envelopes here but for track level Volume envelopes that one would use for Automation for instance.

So the FR is halfway there as Podium will change the waveform of an audio clip when the volume handle is pulled down or clip fades used…but it will not change the waveform graphically if a track volume envelope is used. This kind of feature really simplifies making micro changes to vocal parts for instance.

While I could use a volume envelope in Podium…

    A. It does not appear on the clip (optionally anyway)

    More importantly…

    B. It does not change the waveform graphically as clip volume and fade handles do.

This is not a small UI thing to implement, so this is far into the future.

Funny really. 🙂 It looks so simple from a users perspective but yes if it is not easy or a small thing to do then no worries Frits. Something for the futre it is. Just thought I would post it anyway on the off chance it could be easy to add to PDM.

Thanks for the response though 😉

No big deal, but just for the record: whenever it’s the right time to work on this, please also make the waveform display change according to the event fade’s curve (right now it’s always linear).
