As of today, 25 May 2018, the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) is enforced. I’ve spent the last couple of days trying to figure out what it’s all about, and I have made some modifications to the website to try to comply with the GDPR requirements:

There is a new https://zynewave.com/privacy-policy page. This page is referred to on the checkout page when you register/purchase new products. I’ve tried to include all relevant information, but it’s difficult for me to know if I’ve covered everything. This website is using WordPress and I’m not an expert on how WordPress handles cookies for example.

I’ve removed the capability to comment on blog posts, and I’ve removed all existing comments, of which there were very few. The forum pages are now the only discussion area.

I renamed the Blog to News, and I removed the ‘Subscribe to News’ page. If you want to be notified when news arrives, follow Zynewave either on Twitter or Facebook. All those that were subscribed to news have been removed from that mailing list. The mailing list was automatically maintained by wordpress.com.

Please let me know if you spot something in the Zynewave privacy policy that can be improved.
