    Hi there Frits.
I was writing parts for a new tune when all of the sudden I am not able to draw anymore MIDI clips for my Synths. Every time I try to draw a MIDI event (Piano roll) I get an event grid instead 😯
I must have clicked on something, but can´t find what I am doing wrong to save my life 😳
    Thanks for the help.

If you open the view menu in the editor for your note sequence, there should be two profiles listed at the top: Keyboard and Event List. If not, then something has happened to your sequence profile setup. You can get it back to normal with the ‘Load Default Setup’ menu.

Hmm. I tried loading the default and it didn´t help.
I still get the same results and no choice of note (piano roll) or keyboard list.
Also now Every channel is silent. I reloaded the definitions to all synths, but get no sound. Weird! 😕
I must have screwed up somewhere.
I am off to work now, but when I get back I will try and re-install the program to see if it is an instalation thing. If I can´t get it to work. Where can I send you a copy of the project in case you want to look at it?
Anothe thing that would be helpful is to have the program “remember” all the instruments and FX location/definitions. Regardless of the project you are working with. Once loaded and checked the VSTi list should be in the program memory instead of a per-project basis (my opinion)
    Later. 😀

What are the names of the profiles that you see in the view menu? When you say you get an ‘event grid’ instead of a piano roll, I may have misunderstood you. Also check that the mapping properties for the plugin has the ‘device is an instrument’ option checked.

After you have used ‘load default setup’, you need to reconfigure the MIDI/Audio interfaces dialog. That’s probably why you have no sound.

I doubt that reinstalling the program will make any difference.

    Fixed it! 😀
I checked the mapping properties of the synths and 2 of them were not set as instruments. I wonder how they changed? 😕
The third one (String Synth by Algo Music) was set up as an instrument but it still refused to open a piano roll. What I got was a curve event ( the first time) and then an stereo audio window. I could not get it to work so I opened the mapping and looked up the Dll file once again but still no solution. I even changed the synth to a different one and still the same problem so it was in the track not the instrument.
What solved the problem was that I opened a new instance of the synth on a fresh track and copied the MIDI tracks to it and I could open a fresh piano roll and continiue with the arrangement.
I must say I am impressed this is the first problem I find in this program after playing with it for a while 😀
    Good job dude! 😉
